Psalm 86
Further Devotional Thoughts
The greatness of God isn’t just a theological claim—it’s the most transformational reality we could ever embrace. Psalm 86 reminds us that God is not in competition with other deities because He is in a category of His own. The unrivaled, unparalleled greatness of God is the foundation of His works, the source of His wonders, and the reason why every knee will bow.
When we truly grasp God’s greatness:
Our idols are dethroned.
Our anxieties are quieted.
Our worship becomes vibrant.
Our obedience becomes joyful.
God’s greatness isn’t a trophy to admire; it’s a reality that reshapes our thoughts, purifies our hearts, and fuels our mission. As we behold His greatness (2 Cor. 3:18), we are being transformed into His likeness.
